Team Labrador: Monty O'Leary and John Morris who are Amaruk's greens keepers.
Team Newfoundland: Long time labradorians .... Jake Leyte and Barry Knight
The first of the four matches was the alternate ball format and saw team NL get off to a quick 1 up lead when Monty's drive found itself in right willows and had to be punched out by John. Opportunity presented itself for a 2 up lead but failing to get up and down from fringe hole #2 was sawed. Not able to take advantage of team Labrador's mistakes and with two shots hitting the pins for Labrador that would have gone long ... instead resulted in a tap in ... winning one and sawing the other ... The front nine finished even and team Newfoundland was never a threat on the back ... Labrador going on to win the first point 3 and 2.

It was decided to finish the last two holes with individual play for $1 skins.... Jake won the first with a par. The second was interesting in that John chipped in for a par and Monty decided to throw the hole ... you heard me ... throw the hole to give his partner a $1 skin ... missing a 2 footer by pushing it outside and short :-(
BULLETIN ... due to work committments it looks as if the cup will be not be completed this season.
